In most poker games, players bet or raise according to the hand’s ranking. Players choose their actions based on probability, game theory, and psychology. They usually play with a standard 52-card deck, which has four different suits. If the player suspects that another player may be bluffing, he or she can make a forced bet, such as an ante. Other players can call a bluff, raise, or fold.
A round of betting occurs after each card is dealt. During this time, each player must match the previous bet, if any, or make a forced bet. Razz is a variant of stud, where the player’s goal is to have the lowest hand. Unlike traditional stud, razz players do not have the option to exchange their cards with those of their opponents.
